Ziel des Unternehmen war es, mit der Deutschland-Ansiedlung die geographische Pr\u00e4senz zu erweitern und zuk\u00fcnftig ein robustes und qualitativ hochwertiges Supply-Chain Netzwerk aufzubauen.<\/p>\n<p>Nur 12 Monate sp\u00e4ter erhielt das Pharma-Unternehmen nun die erste GMP-Herstellungserlaubnis. Dr. Chris Chen, CEO von WuXi Biologics, sagte: &#8220;Wir freuen uns, dass die DP7-Anlage in Leverkusen, einer der Eckpfeiler unserer Global Dual Sourcing-Strategie, die GMP-Inspektion f\u00fcr die kommerzielle Herstellung von Biologika durch eine EU-Aufsichtsbeh\u00f6rde <span class=\"vm-hook-outer vm-hook-default\"><span class=\"vm-hook\">erfolgreich<\/span><\/span>\u00a0bestanden hat. Diese Lizenz ist ein weiterer bemerkenswerter Meilenstein in unserem Bestreben, erstklassige Betriebe auf globaler Ebene zu etablieren. Wir werden uns weiterhin strikt an die von den Gesundheitsbeh\u00f6rden vorgegebenen Qualit\u00e4tsstandards halten und dringend ben\u00f6tigte Biologika zum Wohle der Patienten weltweit produzieren.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>WuXi Biologics \u00fcbernimmt Produktionsst\u00e4tte in Leverkusen<\/h2>\n<p>Im Januar 2020 hatte <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investmentplattformchina.de\/bayer-vergroessert-produktion-in-beijing\/\">Bayer<\/a> \u00fcber die Vereinbarung mit WuXi Biologics bez\u00fcglich den Erwerb einer Produktionsst\u00e4tte berichtet. Wenige Monate sp\u00e4ter im April 2020 erfolgte die Transaktion. Als Begr\u00fc\u00dfungsgeschenk spendete das Unternehmen angesichts der COVID-19-Krise rund 1600 Atemmasken an Krankenh\u00e4user in Leverkusen.<\/p>\n<p>WuXi Bio betreibt eine globale Open-Acces-Biologics-Technologieplattform f\u00fcr Biologika. Das Unternehmen ist seit 2017 an der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkex.com.hk\/?sc_lang=en\">Hongkonger B\u00f6rse<\/a> gelistet. Zum Angebot der Plattform geh\u00f6ren Komplettl\u00f6sungen, mit denen Organisationen Bio-Pr\u00e4parate vom Konzept bis zur kommerziellen Produktion erforschen, entwickeln und herstellen k\u00f6nnen. Mittlerweile verf\u00fcgt der Konzern \u00fcber Produktionsstandorte in der ganzen Welt, darunter zehn im Heimatland China, zwei in Deutschland und drei weiteren in den USA. Neben der Produktionsst\u00e4tte in Leverkusen hat das Unternehmen im Dezember 2020 einen zus\u00e4tzliche Pharma-Anlage in Wuppertal von Bayer gekauft.
